Even though it has been only one week since Roti Mediterranean Grill has open at 100 Maiden lane, it has already made a lovely addition to the Financial District. They have partnered with City Harvest, a food rescue organization, dedicated to feeding the city’s hungry men, women, and children.
Now let’s do some good and come to their first partnership event Wednesday, May 22 from 6-9pm. Roti will provide a free meal (including a fountain drink) when you donate to City Harvest. Donations will be accepted at the door. Cash only please. Minimum recommended donation of $5.

Roti Mediterranean Grill has a profound love of the Mediterranean experience and they want to bring it to you. With an ever increasing number of locations growing all the time I am please to announce they are in New York! I am happy that they made it to my neighborhood, the financial district, especially since Hurricane Sandy made some restaurants close. They use the Staples of Mediterranean cuisine like pitas, cous-cous, fire-roasted meats and hummus to ignite your future love of their food. Flavors you can’t forget long after you’re done eating. Today they open their doors, come by (a midtown location coming soon)!

Le Souk Harem one of my favorite spots to just let loose because for a second you forget you’re in NYC. It’s a wonderful Moroccan restaurant that doubles as an awesome lounge at night. This sexy date night spot is located in Greenwich Village. Most nights they have belly dancers that perform in front of you while you enjoy your time there.

I am getting some of my wisdom teeth taken out today! Needless to say I made sure my last meal would be epic. Where did I have my last meal? Bobby Van’s. Please let me live vicariously through you and get this Deal!
Bobby Vans is the epitome of class and sophistication but let’s get to the meat of the review, FOOD! I have visited both their 54th Street and Financial District location (my favorite), happy to report that both are equally great in customer service and in Quality of food. The waiters are superb, extensive knowledge on wine and which wine complements each dish. Insider tip: on Saturdays the Financial District location sell half off all bottles of wine! I always start with the Crab Cake, no filler here as this is crabby cake is on the opposite end of the spectrum, worth every penny. The porterhouse is something I love to order, perfectly cooked every time, I recommend you get it cooked medium. For sides I order mac & cheese with lobster and sautéed mushrooms. If you are in the mood for something light I suggest you go for the lemon pepper jumbo shrimp entrée, comes over a bed of rice. When you take a bite out of that you’re going to want to scream for joy, it’s just that good. The gallery below are dishes I highly recommend.
Porterhouse for two
Mac and cheese with lobster and sautéed mushrooms
Chocolate mousse cake
As many times as I go to Bobby Van’s, I’m constantly mesmerize by the decor, especially considering it’s rich history. When you’re seated here you will always be treated like royalty and I just love that. It’s a great place to go and nothing gets better than being at one of New York’s most traditional Steakhouses!
I am in love with cheese and I bet since you read the title of this post you were just thinking of your next meal with cheese! Want to learn how to make mozzarella cheese?! Of course you do! At Brick NYC enjoy appetizers, sip on imported Italian wine with friends as you absorb your future Mozzarella Cheese making skills! Dimly lit and romantic is what I have to say about this restaurant’s decor.
You will get your choice of Italian wine, like Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Grigio, and Chardonnay. Couples get one antipasto platter and one bottle of wine; quartets share two of each. Now this is a class I’ll never fall asleep in!
If you think that Vegan Food can not be decadent, then you are incorrect. Trust me, the way they prepared it at Cafe Blossom you’ll be glad to be proven wrong. Bring your date to this super romantic spot surrounded by tea candles or meet a friend at bar and enjoy the open fireplace. You can see a bit of the kitchen so you can see the staff working with the food at the final stage, creatively presenting your dishes, making it almost too delicious to eat. Let’s eat, $15 for $30 Worth of Vegan Cuisine at Cafe Blossom in West Village!
